ODE is searching for volunteer student note takers currently enrolled in courses. Serving as a peer note taker is a meaningful opportunity to assist fellow students while enhancing your academic and organizational skills. Your role as a note taker is crucial in supporting your peers and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
What鈥檚 involved?
As a note taker, you will:
- Attend class regularly and take comprehensive, high-quality notes.
- Upload your notes within 48 hours of each lecture using the ODE portal Accommodate.
- Ensure your notes are clear, organized, and easy to follow.

Volunteer hours
Peer note takers earn volunteer service hours based on class time:
- 3-credit course: approximately 37 hours per semester
- 1-credit course: approximately 12 hours per semester
Recognition
At the end of the semester, ODE will provide a Certificate of Volunteer Service to recognize your significant contribution and commitment as a note taker. Your efforts are genuinely appreciated, and we want to ensure you are recognized for your valuable service.
