Defense Critical Language & Culture Program
Since 2008, DCLCP has specialized in immersing students in foreign languages, regional expertise, and culture (LREC) study to support their educational and professional goals.
DCLCP has particularly focused on the LREC needs of current and future national security professionals, serving as a Department of Defense Language Training Center since 2011. We have taught thousands of service members, government civilians, and students in critical LREC skills.
We tailor courses to meet the needs of service members and work directly with our government partners to meet specific mission requirements. DCLCP instructors bring native language and culture proficiency to each of their lessons. DCLCP offers classes through a wide range of platforms, including Microsoft Teams, in-residence, mobile training teams, and blended options – all tailored to our students' needs. DCLCP has successfully worked with over ten thousand service members since 2008, building our students’ language proficiency, enriching their cultural understanding, and giving them access to college credit.
