A Legacy of Service
We are ranked #1 in the nation for service. Much like those who serve in our armed forces, UM aims to harness our collective strength to serve society and make a real and lasting impact on the common good.
The UM ROTC program boasts a strong tradition of elevating future Army leaders into vital roles in the military. Ranked in the top 20% of ROTC programs nationally, the Grizzly Battalion forges tough and intelligent Army officers to excel as future leaders.
UM’s long-standing military legacy continues today through the courageous achievements of the Griz community. Our university is home to more than 1,000 military-affiliated students, comprising 10% of the UM student. Montana is also home to the nation's third largest population of veterans per capita. Even cooler, UM is led by President Seth Bodnar, a former Army Special Forces Officer and current member of the Montana Army National Guard.
The Military Tradition
Nate LaCorte put his GI Bill education benefits to use at the 91视频. Drawn to western Montana's outdoor opportunities, Nate chose UM's College of Business and the Grizzly Battalion ROTC program to achieve his next mission.
