Resident Parking Need-to-Knows
Parking Passes: Fall parking permits will go on saleÌýFriday, August 1st. Summer parking permits will be valid through through this date! If you purchased an annual permit, your permit will remain valid untilÌýAugust 31st, 2025.Ìý
Parking Pass Restrictions: Parking on campus is limited and often stressful. Everything you need as an on-campus resident is within walking and busing distance. If you choose to bring your vehicle you will have two parking pass options. TheÌýRESIDENT STUDENT MAIN PASSÌýwill allow you to park on main campus in lots K, J, E, V-1, W-2 and designated areas in W and G. TheÌýRESIDENT STUDENT REMOTE PASSÌýwill allow you to park in the designated resident areas of Dornblaser Field, Lewis & Clark, and Missoula College lots. If you have aÌýRemote Pass, you are not permitted to park on Main Campus. If you purchase a remote pass, theÌýUDASH busÌýprovides convenient 15 minute service back to campus. Lewis & Clark and University Village Residents: Parking at your residence is free but you will still need to sign-up for a "No Cost" permit.As a resident of Lewis & Clark or University Villages you will not be allowed to purchase a parking pass for campus.ÌýThis is due to ease of access to public and University transportation.

On-Campus Resident Options

UM is now offering two different resident parking permit options, Resident Student Main Campus and Resident Student Remote. These permits are sold semesterly and NOT 91ÊÓÆµ for annual purchase.
If you choose to bring a vehicle to campus and purchase a Resident Student Main Campus permit, you can park in lots K, J, E, V-1, W-2 and designated areas in W and G. This permit is only valid for these lots. Violators will be ticketed.Ìý
Due to limited parking on Main Campus, Resident Student Main permits will sell out.

If you are an on-campus resident, you may fill out an optional form to enter a lottery for a reserved space. If selected the student will be required to upgrade their parking permit to reserved parking and assigned a spot. Entering in the lottery is optional, but if selected the student will pay the full reserved parking price. The drawing will take place prior to move-in.

Parking at your residence is free!
Students living at Lewis & Clark Villages or University Villages may park at their residences at no cost but still need to sign up for a "no cost" permit. UM Parking Services needs to know which vehicles are associated with apartment residents in order to enforce parking.Ìý
UDASH's Maroon Line services both areas. UDASH buses are free to use and operate everyday during the academic year. Mountain Line Routes 1 & 12 also serve South Ave and Arthur Ave. If you want to drive from Lewis & Clark or University Villages to the Mountain Campus, you will need to purchase hourly or daily parking with the Passport app. Student commuter permits will not be sold to UM-owned apartment residents.Ìý

In addition to your current pass, you can now add a small Carbon Neutral Commuter Membership contribution when buying your parking pass.ÌýThough a relatively small piece of the pie, employee and student commuting constitutes a portion of our scope 3 emissions and impacts our Missoula Valley air quality. Once you get to your checkout cart after adding your parking pass, you can return to the main page and select the Carbon Neutral Commuter Membership. Both will be added to your cart upon checkout.
